Turning your empowering story into wisdom for others. Can’t think of a better way to make an impact. Looking forward to hearing you and Tina discuss everything and then peppering you with questions of my own soon!

I so agree with all of this and say the same about launching any business, book, new endeavor. You have to be your own champion, your own cheerleader and have thick skin for all the nos. Talk to anyone and everybody about your book, your passion, whatever you're starting up. You never know who's behind you in line at the grocery store... might just be your next big supporter!

Lessons galore here. I embrace what you say: "Don’t get weighed down by negativity. Expect it. Embrace it. Because ten percent of it is the stuff that makes all the difference." Hey, I grew up fishing with my dad, who could go out all day and be thrilled to get two bites. I'm proud to have a lot of him in me—and yes, you just have to keep putting the line out.

Dear Tom, so wonderful to hear from you and I, too, am so sorry to have missed the New York soiree! Just saw some pictures--looked incredible. My mother was home frm hospital, so I was in caretaking mode. I'll reach out next time I'm visiting San Diego. Would be so wonderful to see you and Marilyn. Much love--AMC

I've been thinking about all this as I try to decide if I really want to write a book which I've been told countless times I should. The story of how I survived an often dangerous 27-year marriage to someone with two addictions and a ton of emotional baggage from a painful childhood, all the while bringing 5 little humans into the world and 3 of them eventually dying and somehow turning it into something of value for others...I know it has inspired a lot of people I've worked with. But I'm told memoirs don't sell; it's costly; success is not guaranteed, etc. etc. At 73 do I have the stamina for that?? Lots to consider. Great arms, by the way!
